Dr George Bownes

Dr George Bownes FFSEM is a highly regarded Consultant in Musculoskeletal, Sport, and Exercise Medicine with over 15 years of experience working across the UK's High-Performance Network. His expertise spans Premiership Football, International and Premiership Rugby, the Championships at Wimbledon, and both Winter and Summer Olympic Sports. 

Notably, George has been working at Harlequins since 2012 and was Club Doctor when they last won the Premiership in 2021. He has previously worked at Chelsea FC and Southampton FC. Within Olympic Sport, he supported Lizzy Yarnold MBE to become the first British Winter Olympian to defend an Olympic Gold Medal in 2018, and has been Chief Medical Officer for British Sailing.
